Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Plant Manager, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Responsible for OHS&E of employees and visitors and demonstrating appropriate Safety Leadership behaviours
  • Responsible for overall Engineering / Maintenance budget: Planning and Execution
  • Continuously driving cost reduction programs within the business and ensuring lowest costs are achieved.
  • Budget & Cost Control
  • Develop daily and monthly KPI’s to track progress
  • Personnel Management
  • Actively manage and review the performance of direct reports including developing and reviewing KPI’s to ensure they are appropriate and accurately measure business progress.
  • Technical Training and Development of the team
  • Must be a safety champion and is accountable for maintaining employees’ health, safety and welfare at all times.
  • Ensure sites are appropriately compliant.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement culture and drive reports to improved standards and results.
  • Proactively manage the training, development and succession planning for maintenance personnel.
  • Compliance to Visy Group and local requirements
