ABOUT ENGINEERING MANAGER ROLE

We are currently seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead our Data Platform Team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of communication, engaging both internal and external stakeholders to deeply understand their challenges and requirements. Your strategic acumen will be crucial in crafting a comprehensive team roadmap that not only addresses current business needs but also aligns with the overarching vision, encompassing upcoming data products, data-driven initiatives, and diverse reporting needs. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the implementation of technical strategies aimed at enhancing data quality, scaling our platform, and fostering the growth and development of our talented team members. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Architect and develop the platform to support a high volume of transactions, handling tens of millions of transactions daily.
• Strategize improvements to our business rules engine, enhancing flexibility to accommodate future platform needs.
• Continuously enhance the architecture of our data workflows to ensure improved reliability, higher throughput, and enhanced observability.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to optimize performance and memory requirements of transaction processing.
• Drive improvements in operational processes, monitoring, and tooling in collaboration with our Technology Operations team.
• Collaborate closely with client-facing solution architects to design implementations tailored to our customers’ needs.
• Scope, architect, plan, and lead the implementation of new features outlined in the product roadmap.
• Serve as a role model for our engineers and employees, actively contributing to the grooming of the next generation of tech leaders.
• Play a key role in managing the entire data lifecycle, from acquisition and storage to processing, analysis, and eventual archiving or disposal, ensuring optimal efficiency and adherence to organizational data policies.
• Build robust tooling and features to support data reporting and export needs for our SaaS customers. Imagine building beautiful APIs to allow our customers to generate and pull reporting data, or building platform features to allow data in our warehouse to be synced to the customer’s warehouse.
