The Boeing Commercial Airplane (BCA) Customer Support organization is seeking an Engineering Manager for Integration & Digital Systems to lead the Customer Support Technology Integration Team. This position is located in Seal Beach, CA.
The team consists of experienced engineers, technical experts, and systems analysts. A successful candidate will demonstrate and live the Boeing Values while performing the responsibilities described below.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry
- Experience building relationships with partners at all levels and providing leadership using effective communications to a diverse engineering team.
- 3+ years of experience in Agile product development methodology (product owner, or Scrum Master)
- 3+ years of experience as a lead engineer or engineering manager
- 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional engineering teams in the aerospace environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Previous engineering manager background
- Information Technology background
- Systems Architecture background
- Demonstrated record of successfully leading engineering teams
- Ability to work where process definition does not exist or is unclear. Ability to create new processes and /or lead teams through undefined process territory.
- Hands-on approach: Take ownership and initiative, pull teams together
- Increasing level of responsibility over career, with emphasized importance on latter years
PAY IS BASED UPON CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS, AS WELL AS MARKET AND BUSINESS CONSIDERATIONS.
Summary pay range: $115,000.00 - $204,000.00

Responsibilities:
- Works closely with other Customer Support organizations such as Service Engineering, Flight Operations, Maintenance Engineering, and IPC.
- Strong technical, operational and finance skills are beneficial
- Provides oversight and guidance for business system architects, business product owners, and product focals for cloud and on-premise business critical applications in production and in development
- Manages team managing export compliance and business intelligence for customer-facing applications within Customer Support
- Supports long-range business planning for IT investments and enterprise initiatives in major technology areas
- Forecasts, obtains and manages personnel, facilities, services, equipment and tools to meet project and departmental requirements
- Develops plans to ensure appropriate utilization of employee skills within an organization or functional area
- Establishes partnerships and relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports
- Fosters an open culture focused on quality, innovation, collaboration, and a superior user experience
- Coaches, counsels, mentors and provides developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities
