Description:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

As the Engineering Manager the incumbent will oversee the development and execution of projects, manages budgets, and supervises multiple teams. Collaborate with management, provide instructions to engineering teams, and ensure the successful completion of projects on time and within budget. Conduct research and development for new designs, products, and processes, while maintaining technical accuracy and coordinating work with other managers and associates.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in engineering management or leadership roles.
  • Strong technical background in areas relevant to the team’s projects (e.g., software development, mechanical engineering, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • A track record of delivering successful engineering projects/products.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers to deliver high-quality products or projects on time and within budget.
  • Define project goals, scope, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement engineering processes, best practices, and standards to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Mentor and coach engineers to foster their professional growth and technical skills.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product management, design, and QA to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and risks, and report progress to senior management.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing.
