• 2+ years managing high-performing engineering teams
• 5+ years working in engineering roles at fast-paced product engineering companies
• Strong software fundamentals, and proficiency in Node.js and PostgreSQL. Experience with NestJS is a big plus
• Experience with MarTech, AdTech, E-commerce, or regulated industries preferred.
• You can distill a complex problem into its essential elements and clearly communicate to your team, your peers, and other departments
• A track record of mentoring, coaching, and sponsoring engineers

• Partner closely with Product to balance new product developments with technical investments to set the teams up for long-term success
• Review and coach engineers on writing RFCs and proposing thorough solutions accounting for reliability, performance, security, and maintainability. Lead and facilitate over-arching architecture decisions across teams and systems
• Accountable for project delivery and the software development lifecycle within the team you manage
• Trust but verify: raise the bar on testing and quality alongside your team of engineers
• Co-create career plans with your team that align with aspirations and team needs
• Propose and implement improvements to ways of working through 1:1 qualitative feedback and quality & velocity metrics
• Lead incident response as a coordinator and communicator
• Foster a culture of strong accountability, empowerment, and customer love in your team
