Wood APAC Minerals & Metals team is currently delivering critical metals projects, including Copper, Nickel, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals. This portfolio of projects ranging from studies through to EPCM packages working on developments in Australia and internationally.
Wood is seeking an Engineering Manager , reporting to the Technical Director of Engineering, to oversee the technical aspects of a multi-discipline engineering scope. This role will see you coordinate and deliver the various engineering, and start-up aspects of a project while meeting HSSE, quality, schedule, and budget performance goals across all disciplines.
You will lead and support the delivery of the nominated project demonstrating best practice to implement and embed standards and processes in the delivery of engineering excellence. In addition, requiring you to embed key project management principles from execution and delivery, workforce planning, safety, engineering, through to financial/commercial management.
We are partnering with a client who are entering a large scale his project is based in Australia, leading large scale brownfield modification and extension work for LOM beyond 2028+. A project that will offer a variety of work and development to meet the increased production targets of the deposit, is seeking a Engineering Manager who can bring strong stakeholder engagement and understanding of technical delivery in mining infrastructure.
This opportunity is looking for an Engineering Manager, experienced in medium to large scale EPCM projects will see you consult and collaborate with our clients on innovative solutions, when dealing with the complexities of large-scale operations.
As part our engineering leadership team, we are looking for leader who can build and create a cohesive working relationship across a multi-disciplinary team.

In addition, you will have the following skills/attributes.

  • Bachelor’s degree or Masters in an engineering discipline, (Mechanical/Electrical/civil/Process)
  • Chartered Engineer/Registered Professional Engineer or equivalent with recognized professional body
  • Balance of technical and management experience at relevant level and position.
  • Experienced in the EPCM delivery of major projects, working with international offices and GEC project models
  • Broad and extensive knowledge of engineering theories and techniques and a high level of skill in application of this knowledge in the management of the engineering function
  • Capable of representing business and client to business associates in a professional manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to collaborate with a wide stakeholder group.
