Bournville is the home of Cadbury and we are now looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join us here at Mondelez International!.
Your goal will be to ensure that the site manufacturing & support activities, without interruption, without any facilities shortages and/or any issues thereof. You will achieve 100% compliance to Local legal regulations, Quality, Health Safety & Environment management systems and standards. You are responsible for the management and maintenance of site facilities, buildings and equipment(s) (hardware & software).

Responsibilities:

Managing Area M&R:

  • Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of M&R resources within the area.
  • Develop and monitor M&R budget for maintenance, repairs, and improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with the section manager and reliability lead to optimize financial performance.
  • Area Audits:
  • Conduct regular audits to assess the condition and performance of equipment, systems, and processes in the area.
  • Identify potential risks, non-compliance issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement corrective actions.

Area Metrics:

  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPI’s) such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) to evaluate the reliability and efficiency of equipment and processes.
  • Identify trends and patterns in the metrics, propose strategies for improvement, and implement appropriate measures.
  • Regularly report on the area metrics to the section manager and reliability lead.

Conducting and Managing Root Cause Analysis:

  • Investigate equipment failures, incidents, and operational issues within the area.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analyses to identify underlying causes and contributing factors.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technicians and other relevant stakeholders, to facilitate the root cause analysis process.

Managing Area Technicians:

  • Supervise and provide guidance to a team of area technicians.
  • Coordinate their work schedules, assignments, and training requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and established procedures.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and accountability among the technicians.

Daily Actions from the Section Manager:

  • Receive daily instructions, priorities, and work assignments from the section manager.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the section manager to ensure smooth operations and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide regular updates on the progress, challenges, and achievements within the area.

Strategy from the Reliability Lead:

  • Collaborate with the reliability lead to develop long-term strategies for improving equipment reliability, uptime, and overall plant performance.
  • Align area maintenance plans with the broader reliability strategy.
  • Incorporate reliability-focused practices and methodologies into daily operations.
  • Provide feedback and insights to the reliability lead on the effectiveness of strategies and their implementation.
