Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are currently looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join the Paradise Dam project team. You will be responsible for delivering solutions, understand the intricacies and complexities of the design and methodology of our project.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively take responsibility and manage the engineering and technical aspects of the project such as temporary work design, project controls including schedules, costing tracking of project innovations including sustainability initiatives.
- Manage identified risk initiatives via registers, logistics and change management forecasting.
- Actively provide both strategic and day to day leadership to direct reports and colleagues as required.
- Actively manage the budget of the function by overseeing expenditure, conducting regular reviews against plan and budget as required.
- Contributing to senior management involvement in the development and execution phases of projects.
- Where applicable ensuring ongoing support to projects through regular communication and interface.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering within a related discipline.
- Demonstrated 10+ years project delivery experience on Major Infrastructure as an Engineering Manager, Project Manager or similar role.
- Extensive experience in all aspects of project delivery and project bidding. Including formulating delivery strategies, methodology, temporary works, sub-contractor management, bid strategy, commercial strategy, cost control, estimating and safety.
- Proven ability of building, managing and maintaining large Engineering teams.
- Strong Commercial acumen to manage budget as the Contractor.
- Collaborative team player and the ability to work effectively in a complex demanding environment.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
