WHAT SKILLS YOU NEED:

  • 8 or more years of experience for advanced power electronics and/or control algorithm development
  • 7 or more years of simulation experience for power electronics, drivetrain, and control system
  • 5 or more years of hands-on power electronics and/or drivetrain testing experience
  • 3 or more years of hands-on system integration relevant controls system development and delivery experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Relevant research experience in academic institutes will be considered.

EDUCATION:

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Minimum of Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on power electronics and/or control system.
  • PhD degree is preferred.

Responsibilities:

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an Engineering Manager for Power Electronics Controls System located in Fargo ND, you will:

  • Provide supervision of administrative and technical efforts toward Power Electronics and Electrification Controls system, Modeling & Simulation, and Advanced Algorithms development toward a wide range of module and system integration level electrification projects.
  • Oversee project schedule/resources planning, budget usage monitoring, phase gates review, etc. Define a clear roadmap of advanced features planning, development, deployment, and maturation with a strong connection with stakeholder needs and technology insights.
  • Recruit global talents to feed the workforce pipeline. Lead university collaboration, including government-funded applications, with global institutes in advanced power electronics & electrification controls and advanced algorithm space.
  • Promote cross-functional electrification module competency and cross-machine platforms advanced features LRPP (long range portfolio planning) planning. Lead strategic innovation efforts.
  • Contribute to the enterprise advanced controls community and identify collaboration opportunities to deliver differentiated value propositions to end customers in the space of advanced controls and algorithms development space.
