    Specialized Recruiting Group Northland & Downtown KC is currently seeking to fill an Engineering Manager position near the KCI Airport. Desirable candidates are able to work independently and as part of a team, with limited supervision at times, and are highly organized and hard working.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in engineering management, preferably in the automotive industry with a focus on hydraulic systems
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic system design, components, and principles
  • Experience in R&D, with a track record of conceptualizing and developing innovative automotive service equipment

Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, lead, and mentor a team of engineers and technicians specializing in hydraulic systems and automotive equipment
  • Provide guidance, support, and technical expertise to team members to ensure project success
  • Oversee the design and development of hydraulic systems for the industrial hydraulic and automotive service equipment markets, such as hydraulic lifts and high pressure pumps
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, lab technicians, product managers, and factory representatives to integrate hydraulic systems
  • Lead research initiatives to identify emerging technologies and trends in automotive maintenance and industrial hydraulic systems.
  • Drive innovation by conceptualizing, designing, and prototyping new automotive service equipment and industrial hydraulic solutions
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality solutions
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including design specifications, test plans, and reports
