Description:

An excellent opportunity exists for a highly motivated and suitably qualified individual to join Rex in the full-time role of Engineering Officer – Airline Asset Management, located at our Sydney Head Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist REX Group engineering management in:
  • the Engineering Operations Process and Product enhancement and improvement
  • the design, review and improvement of KPIs including close tracking and analysis of them
  • discrepancy investigations and responses
  • undertaking engineering projects
  • performing reliability assessments of aircraft and aircraft components
  • Manage and plan engine MRO repair cycles
  • Build engine repair cost modelling
  • Manage related freight movements
  • Travel frequently to Engine MRO facility in Indonesia for up to a month on site.
  • Draft engine through life support reviews.
  • Draft Regulatory completion position papers and NPRM responses.
  • Prepare and present briefs at board level on engine asset management performance and budgets.
  • Other duties as assigned

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Extensive software knowledge specific to document development and management
  • Experience in developing and reviewing technical documentation
  • Experience working in Aviation industry an advantage
  • Frequent travel required to other ports nationally and internationally
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment, but also have an ability to work unsupervised
  • A demonstrated ability to manage engineering projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite
