Description:
An excellent opportunity exists for a highly motivated and suitably qualified individual to join Rex in the full-time role of Engineering Officer – Airline Asset Management, located at our Sydney Head Office.
Responsibilities:
- Assist REX Group engineering management in:
- the Engineering Operations Process and Product enhancement and improvement
- the design, review and improvement of KPIs including close tracking and analysis of them
- discrepancy investigations and responses
- undertaking engineering projects
- performing reliability assessments of aircraft and aircraft components
- Manage and plan engine MRO repair cycles
- Build engine repair cost modelling
- Manage related freight movements
- Travel frequently to Engine MRO facility in Indonesia for up to a month on site.
- Draft engine through life support reviews.
- Draft Regulatory completion position papers and NPRM responses.
- Prepare and present briefs at board level on engine asset management performance and budgets.
- Other duties as assigned
Key Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Extensive software knowledge specific to document development and management
- Experience in developing and reviewing technical documentation
- Experience working in Aviation industry an advantage
- Frequent travel required to other ports nationally and internationally
- Proven ability to work in a team environment, but also have an ability to work unsupervised
- A demonstrated ability to manage engineering projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft suite
