Engineering Planner with a vast MRP knowledge urgently required for a world leading manufacturing business based near Uxbridge. We are looking for a detail focussed experienced planner who is used to managing a detailed MRP system, planning and scheduling every aspect of an order through to production. This role would suit someone Data Driven with good analytical skills and a key eye for detail.
We are looking for someone with experience of “Low Volume, High Complexity” planning, for example each product may require upto 50 parts, so have a “plan for every part” and manage this through to delivery.
Key to this role is a soled ability to manipulate Excel, understand pivot tables, VLook ups etc and be an organised and structured individual that can work within all areas of the business, building solid relationships whilst also holding trams and management accountable.
This role is important to ensure the integrity of our MRP system, and thus make realistic and achievable plans. This ensures production has the required flow of materials to fulfil sales orders on time and in full to our customers.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Ability to analyse and develop accurate conclusions through critical thinking based on data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills presenting to all levels of the company.
- Energetic, proactive, calm under pressure, able to deal with conflict, personable and mature personality with a flexible approach to changing daily priorities.
- Strong team-worker - ability to thrive in a small, closely-knit team
- Trained in or exposed to Lean / Six Sigma tools is desirable - 5 whys, Route Cause Corrective Action.
- On the job training will be provided. Experience not a pre-requisite for a candidate who can demonstrate the right behaviours and attitude.
- University Degree in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering desirable
- Exposure to manufacturing, planning, MRP, ERP, factory office environment. IFS experience desirable.
- CPIM/ CSCP/ CPSM/ CIPS certified or other business-related qualification desirable but not a pre-requisite

Responsibilities:
- Schedule supply of components and materials to meet production requirements.
- Ensure the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) is accurate and up to date and resolve issues through MRP message management using IFS software.
- Schedule and control the supply of components to meet the assembly build plan requirements.
- Manage stock levels, assessing and monitoring the volume requirements against planning assumptions and agreed targets.
- Maintenance of shop order and customer order due dates to ensure ERP system integrity.
- Carry out actions in relation to material shortages that affect production.
- Create and update statistical reports and analysis.
- Management of buffer stock through demand driven Materials Requirement Planning
- Work with key partners to proactively manage inventory, reducing the risk of aged / obsolete stock
- Product lead time management & critical path lead time analysis
