This leading industry player is seeking a proactive and versatile Engineering Services Lead to provide critical support in developing and maintaining standards, systems, workflows, and administrative processes for industry-specific design projects.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or Technologist with 10+ years of experience in engineering services or related field.
  • Extensive proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Extensive experience in data vaulting solutions, particularly with SolidWorks PDM (Product Data Management).
  • Strong knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Logical, consistent, and effective approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capacity to work autonomously with limited supervision.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent work ethic.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

As our Engineering Services Lead, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing standards, systems, and workflows to enhance departmental efficiency. You’ll be instrumental in leading and coordinating small groups to tackle medium-sized projects in a collaborative environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement engineering standards, systems, and workflows to optimize departmental operations.
  • Establish and enforce modeling, drafting, and nomenclature standards to ensure consistency and efficiency in engineering processes.
  • Standardize common parts and materials to streamline production and reduce costs.
  • Implement and manage data management systems to enhance information accessibility and integrity.
  • Oversee document control workflows, including technical publications and engineering documentation.
  • Assist in the development of engineering onboarding programs to support new team members.
  • Monitor adherence to standards, troubleshoot issues, and identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Manage engineering software licenses and coordinate hardware deployment to support project requirements.
  • Prepare, edit, and proofread technical documentation and instructional materials.
  • Collaborate closely with production and development teams to ensure project milestones are met effectively.
  • Provide training and guidance to designers on Brandt systems to enhance personnel development and streamline processes.
  • Occasional business travel may be required for project coordination and meetings.
  • Undertake other related tasks and initiatives as needed to support engineering department objectives.
