Your responsibilities will include:

  • The SMT engineer is responsible for programming all SMT equipment.
  • Assisting in identify and rectifying process defects improving overall First Pass Yield (FPY) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Provides technical support to Operations and Product Design Group as required for process and product issue.
  • Assist in the training of team, in quality control and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Administers and ensures compliance with current safety policies.

YOU WILL REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Engineering Degree (EE, ME, or Engineering Technology) or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience preferably in SMT / PCBA
  • Experience with Yamaha Pick & Place machine, SPI, AOI, Stencil Printer and Reflow Oven is preferred
  • Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 Solder Requirements – IPC Solder Certification is highly regarded
  • Maintain and write work instructions, control plans, process flow, and process failure modes effects analysis documents
  • Ability to interpret engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, change orders
