Description:
WHAT WE DO.
Due to the success of our bread sites, we are expanding our engineering team and have a fantastic opportunity for a Stock Controller to join our busy food manufacturing facilities in Cheshire. Our 2 bread sites based in Crewe and Nantwich make specialty hand-crafted flatbreads, baguettes, doughballs and ciabattas for customers including Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Sainsburys.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Deliver the inventory CMMS process and support the procurement team with necessary information.
- Deliver the engineering inventory strategy.
- Construct reports of food inventory management activities, internal performance reports, asset management plans, reports to specific regulators and certifying bodies.
- Create, maintain and audit engineering documentation for engineering components.
- Organise the logistics and support the procurement of component parts for food processing and packaging assets.
- Support the selection of external suppliers, contribute to performance measurement of suppliers within the context of the organisation’s asset management approach.
- Manage/respond to breakdowns of food processing and packaging assets. Conduct inventory interrogation to support reactive requests and develop corrective actions to resolve deviation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects to optimise assets or processes. For example, participate in failure investigations to ensure process effectiveness and to contribute to and implement practical engineering solutions for efficiency and profitability.
Responsibilities:
To have control of engineering parts and components, ensuring engineering inventory is accurately logged, monitor usage, and find new methods / procedures. Working with other teams, you will contribute to technical performance reviews and continuous improvement activities. Ensure diagnostic instructions and inventory images are readily available to all engineering staff.
