We are seeking Engineering Students for our Ottawa District, within our Canadian Buildings Division, that are available for 4 months from September 2024 to December 2024.
Here’s how an Engineering Student for our Ottawa office contributes to our team:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working towards a degree or diploma in a civil engineering related field.
  • A passion for working in a construction environment.
  • Experience with the application of various computer software programs, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
  • Self-motivation with a hands-on approach.
  • Prior field construction experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts deficiency walks.
  • Coordinates and supervises sub-trade work.
  • Coordinates quality assurance reviews.
  • Takes and coordinates progress photos.
  • Tracks site progress and deficiencies.
  • Verifies site conditions and coordinates with drawings.
  • Coordinates, marks up and updates drawings.
  • Coordinates work specific scope and trades.
  • Conducts trade quote reviews by verifying material quantities, hours, and rates.
  • Inputs and updates deficiency logs.
  • Participates in project meetings.
  • Performs quantity take-offs.
  • Produces as-built drawings.
  • Sets-up and maintains record keeping.
