TE TŪRANGA /ABOUT THE ROLE:

We have an amazing opportunity at our Pareora site south of Timaru, to join our team as an Engineering Team Leader. This position is suited to a highly motivated and skilled Maintenance Engineer with solid leadership experience, or a proven FMCG Leading hand looking to take the next step in their career.
The Engineering Team Leader will be responsible for leading our team of 10+ Maintenance Engineers across various rosters on our second largest site in the South Island, with several chains operating across multiple species at any one time - assisting with planned maintenance and installation of new plant equipment as required - all the while being across the urgency of a high-speed site operating in a time precious sector.

Working as part of a site engineering leadership team, candidates will have good interpersonal skills and an attitude for getting stuck in to get the job done. All the while having good EI and an ability to multitask across both the technical aspects, and the day-to-day organisation/administrative duties required of a large-scale team leader.

  • Trade Qualified as a L4 Mechanical Diagnostics Engineer/Fitter Turner or similar
  • Excellent technical know-how/ diagnostics ability in an industrial maintenance environment.
  • Proven experience as a leader in an engineering environment and a true “people leader” who can not only lead but bring teams together to achieve tasks collaboratively.
  • Ability to analyse problems and implement effective solutions on a timely basis.
  • Organised, with the ability to plan and prioritise workload in a challenging environment.
  • Computer Literacy with strong computer/ administrative experience would be advantageous
