Description:
With a history of over 160 years in the Australian and New Zealand sugar industries, Wilmar Sugar Australia operations span the value chain from sugar cane growing, sugar manufacturing, refining, exporting, and marketing, to the production of renewable electricity, ethanol and sustainable agricultural products.
To be more specific, Wilmar manufactures over half of Australia’s raw sugar, and each year exports enough electricity to power more than 68,000 Australian homes for 12 months. As well as supplying ethanol (ethyl alcohol) to the growing fuel market in Australia, Wilmar also supplies a significant market share to various industries including the pharmaceutical, printing, cleaning, winery, aerosol, animal health and food and beverage industries.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
The following qualifications are required in the electrical trade role.
- Trade qualification - Certificate III in Electrical Engineering.
- Queensland Electrical Work Licence.
- Instrumentation experience highly regarded
- PLC and SCADA experience highly regarded
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking applications for a permanent Electrician located in Ingham, North Queensland.
The primary responsibility of the role includes providing general maintenance and preventative maintenance services across various areas, covering both planned and unplanned tasks, as well as capital projects. You’ll also manage basic troubleshooting, report faults, and assist in equipment repair during breakdowns. Further responsibilities include equipment installation, calibration, and maintenance, ensuring their optimal functionality. While this doesn’t cover the entirety of the role’s functions, it provides an overview of the extensive range of electrical tasks involved.
The following qualifications are required in the electrical trade role.
- Trade qualification - Certificate III in Electrical Engineering.
- Queensland Electrical Work Licence.
- Instrumentation experience highly regarded
- PLC and SCADA experience highly regarde
