Shell Nigeria is looking for the following Engineers to Support its Conventional Oil and Gas Business:
Process Engineer 2 Civil Engineers Rotating Equipment Engineer Materials and Corrosion Engineer

What’s the Role?
Process Engineer
The purpose of the Process Engineer is responsible for all process engineering aspects of Shell’s production facilities, including the Sea Egale FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading), oil and gas separation, produced water treatment, gas compression and dehydration, produced water treatment and reinjection, gas export pipeline, oil flowlines, and infrastructure. Further responsibilities are as follows:
Support the Assets and Projects in meeting process safety requirements for Design, Construction and operations. Interpret and apply design standards and Provide Process Engineering inputs in technical reviews and Management of Change to ensure technical integrity, efficiency, and safety of facilities. Contribute to successful project design delivery - on schedule and on budget - through efficient design practices. Share and implement global best practice and learnings with special focus on standardization and repeatability.
Civil Engineer
The Civil Engineer is accountable in providing Civil Structural Technical Consultancy Services to Projects and Asset operations. The Civil Engineer will also provide support in carrying out audit of construction of Civil Structures, Buildings and Associated Infrastructure for compliance with Shell Group standards role to supervise work activities covering design, construction and maintenance of Civil Engineering facilities. Further Responsibilities include:
Provide input to prepare scope of works and cost estimates for Civil/Structural Engineering works in the project/Assets. Ensure that Civil Structural design and construction works comply with standards and policies. Support to review and implement project HSE plans, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and method statements with measurable key performance indicators. Preside over project HSE and progress review meetings and provide feedback on performance including compliance with project quality and HSE plans.
Rotating Equipment Engineer
The Rotating Equipment Engineer is required to support the delivery of all Mechanical work scope at all phases of the Opportunity Realization Standard.
Develop mechanical deliverables (pumps, Compressors and Turbines with associated piping) at all phases of each projects. Review Projects and Asset Mechanical engineering deliverables (Pumps, Compressors and Turbines with associated piping) in line with Shell’s standrards. Provide other Mechanical Engineering Support at Concept definition, Detailed Engineering design and Construction phases of projects. Contribute to the development of equipment specifications and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements, discipline and Shell project standards and specifications during equipment procurement.
Materials and Corrosion Engineer
The Materials and Corrosion Engineer is expected to perform specified tasks within design, operation, or maintenance of facilities/plant. Further accountabilities of the role includes:
Materials Selection and Specification - Select, specify, or develop requirements for metallic materials and testing Specify manufacturing, joining, installation, repair, testing and refurbishment methods for metallic Materials. Degradation and Corrosion Control System Design and Management - Develop a corrosion and degradation management strategy, including requirements for implementation. Asset Integrity and Repair Assessments - Develop, Implement, Execute, Assess and Benchmark equipment integrity management systems. Investigation of Equipment Failures - Identify and analyze failure modes and relate them to operating conditions or equipment history.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU?

Process Engineer
Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in process or facilities engineering. Minimum of bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or equivalent. Preferably with experience within the oil and gas industry. Preferably COREN certified but not required. Preferably with knowledge of simulation tools (UNISIM, IPSM-GAP, PIPESIM, etc.).
Civil Engineer
Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in the Oil or Gas industry or Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in the Civil and Construction industry. Minimum of bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Preferably with experience within the oil and gas industry. Preferably COREN certified but not required.
Rotating Equipment Engineer
Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering. Relevant experience in either the oil and gas, manufacturing, or refinery industry. Minimum of bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Preferably COREN certified but not required.
Materials and Corrosion Engineer
Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience. Minimum of bachelor’s degree in either materials or mechanical engineering. Preferably with experience within the oil and gas industry. Preferably COREN certified but not required. With a good basic understanding of materials selection and corrosion.
