The Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre (Sask DLC) is dedicated to providing high-quality Kindergarten to Grade 12 online learning opportunities for students throughout Saskatchewan. English Language Arts 20 and 30 (Accredited) Teacher
The Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre requires an English Language Arts Grade 11 and 12 Teacher that can be located at the following campus locations: North East Campus (Nipawin), North Central Campus (Prince Albert), North West Campus (Neilburg), West Central Campus (Kenaston), East Central Campus (Yorkton), South Central Campus (Moose Jaw), South West Campus (Swift Current) or South East Campus (Estevan). The posting will remain open until a suitable candidate is selected. This temporary contract position will commence as soon as possible and will conclude June 28, 2024.
The teaching assignment will include Grade 11 and 12 English Language Arts Core Curriculum – Writing, Reading, Speaking, Listening, Representing, and Viewing.
The Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre is a newly formed Treasury Board Crown Corporation in Saskatchewan, created to deliver high quality and equitable online learning programs to students across the province. The SDLC head office is located in Kenaston, with an administrative office in Regina, and nine regional campuses located in Swift Current, Moose Jaw, Estevan, Yorkton, Saskatoon, Nipawin, Prince Albert, Neilburg and La Ronge.
Experience in secondary English Language Arts curriculum, online teaching or online program supervision, and level 30 accreditation would be considered an asset.
At the Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre, we are committed to providing students with a quality online educational experience; an integral part of that being meaningful student and parent interactions. As an online instructor, you will work with students in an online environment and will in most cases, be the primary point of contact for our learners. We are looking to recruit teachers who seek to understand the challenges of online learning and strive to create real connections with our learners, bridging the distance between them.

Experience with technologies such as Clevr, Moodle, MySchoolSask, and online communication software would be considered an asset.
