ENMP FINANCE ANALYST

  • Fed Gov - aviation sector / 12-month contract
  • Brisbane Airport + WFH (3 days in office) - free onsite parking

    The Enterprise Network Modernisation Program (ENMP) will deliver updates to operational (mission-critical) and corporate networks that will ensure existing systems remain connected to deliver safe, efficient, and effective Air Navigation and Aviation Rescue and Fire Fighting services; as well as enabling future enhancements to support future requirements for CMATS, Remote Service Delivery and the Flexible Use of Airspace.
    As a member of Program Management Office (PMO) reporting to the ENMP PMO Manager, you will form an integral part of the ENMP team. You will oversee and deliver financial analysis and cost modelling activities for the ENMP in collaboration with Stream Leads, Project Managers and the PMO finance team. You will be responsible for developing cost models, conducting financial analysis, developing financial options and contributing to business cases for new and evolving projects.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least 4 –5 years experience in Financial Analysis or similar role
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or related discipline
  • Ability to present financial information in a format suitable for senior executives and boards.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in accounting practices, particularly with respect to budgeting, forecasting and reporting on large programs with budgets over $100m and experience with Vendor financial processes.
  • Well-developed management abilities, including a proven ability to successfully manage a range of financial activities.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, representation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated resilience and adaptability in coping with pressures and setbacks that will arise in a complex program.
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively in a dynamic and high pressure environment to deliver quality results and meet customer expectations in a professional and timely manner.
  • Proven ability to transition strategic thinking to operational practice and process – including the commitment to continuous improvement of business processes.

Responsibilities:

As the Finance Analyst you will be responsible for developing, analysing, and reporting on all financial aspects of the ENMP Program and it’s sub streams.

  • Improve the financial modelling framework for the ENMP Program in conjunction with organisational financial policies, guidance and teams. This includes:
  • Developing standardized financial models that are consistent with the wider organsiation and that can be consolidated with wider change program financials.
  • Financial analysis across existing project and program finances.
  • Development of ENMP Program financial plans/budgets/forecasts including annual capital expenditure (CAPEX) versus operational expenditure (OPEX) plans, 5-year Capital Expenditure Plan as required by the Corporate Financial Plan.
  • Assist Program and Project Managers in financial analysis and development of financial options for projects:
  • Understanding, conducting analysis and reporting on the Managed Service Provider (MSP) pricing models and determining value for money
  • Presenting financial analysis in a format appropriate for senior executive consumption in board reports/papers, presentations and options papers.
  • Provide financial modelling input to Business Cases and Change Impact Assessments as required.
