Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

The Endpoint Solutions Architect is responsible for transforming the current state of endpoint device management and user toolset from outdated early 2000s technology to modern solutions. This role involves managing and controlling Windows devices as well as Apple Macs in a secure manner, ensuring seamless user experience across apps with respect to identity and access management, cybersecurity, single sign-on, and multifactor authentication. The role is strategic, involving architectural direction, proof of concepts, and R&D on emerging technologies to optimize end-user productivity and experience. Additionally, the role includes optimizing helpdesk and support processes, training, and leveraging AI-based tools for user support.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • 10+ years of experience in endpoint and Microsoft technologies.
  • Experience in end-user management and white-glove service capacity, servicing executives and their endpoint computing needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft technologies.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work with leaders at various levels of the organization.
  • Sense of urgency, accountability, and effective communication.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • No college degree is required; however, a bachelor’s degree in information systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics is preferable.
  • Relevant on-the-job experience and certifications.
  • Microsoft certifications are essential.
  • Experience with Mac and Windows environments

  • Collaborate on the development of a transformation roadmap for end user computing at Lee Enterprises
  • Execute on that roadmap to transform endpoint device management and user toolset from outdated technology to modern solutions.
  • Manage and control Windows devices and Apple Macs securely.
  • Ensure seamless user experience across applications with identity and access management, cybersecurity, single sign-on, and multifactor authentication.
  • Conduct proof of concepts and research and development on emerging technologies.
  • Optimize end-user productivity and experience.
  • Optimize helpdesk and support processes.
  • Train and leverage AI-based tools for user support.
  • Design a solution that is secure and compliant
  • Define end user computing standards
  • Other duties as assigned.
