Description:
ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT
On behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking a Diagnostic Enterprise Architect a six (6) month engagement based in Burnaby, British Columbia. While this client is pleased to offer a remote work model when possible this role will require frequent site visits throughout the lower mainland.
Enterprise Architect Job Details
- Producing and maintaining interoperability enterprise architecture artifacts and methodology
- Providing guidance to solution architects and project managers
- Ensuring national/standards alignment (e.g., Infoway Reference Architecture)
- Managing cross-project architectural intersects
- Developing an enterprise roadmap for strategic foundational interoperability capabilities
- Engaging with interoperability consumers (including vendors)
- Laboratory and medical imaging are two priority domains requiring enterprise architecture direction, particularly with a business/strategic orientation. Related initiatives include:
- Digital Referrals and Orders, including:
- Laboratory orders, enabling patient choice (“pull” model)
- Medical imaging orders, enabling patient choice (“pull” model)
- End-to-end integration and workflow for medical imaging orders (including central intake, triage, protocoling, etc.)
- Closed-loop report distribution (lab, medical imaging) including discrete data
- Longitudinal access to lab and medical imaging information, including strategy for the Provincial Laboratory Information Solution (PLIS)
- Provincial Anatomic Pathology architecture and strategy
- Analytics and performance measurement architectures and strategies
- Provincial Laboratory Medicine Services initiatives
- Provincial Medical Imaging Office initiatives
- Engaging with stakeholders and projects to understand functional and non-functional requirements related to laboratory, medical imaging, and potentially other diagnostic domains
- Recommending enterprise architecture solutions for diagnostic domains that satisfy technical and functional requirements and align with Digital Health strategies.
- Developing architecture specifications and translating these into high-level designs and occasionally prototypes.
- Leading or facilitating meetings with subject matter experts with the goal of developing and validating architecture specifications.
- Collaborating with cross function and multi-disciplinary teams across multiple organizations.
- Working with clinical informatics, clinicians, project managers, solution architects, business architects, product owners, business analysts, and developers.
- Working to ensure solution-level compliance and alignment with the enterprise architecture.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Enterprise Architect Mandatory Skills
- Ten (10) year’s recent, related experience in enterprise and/or solution architecture and facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups.
- A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a degree in data science, health information science, and/or computer science including training and/or experience in enterprise architecture in the healthcare domain.
- Experience with architecture in diagnostic domains including laboratory, medical imaging
- Experience in large-scale healthcare interoperability or integration projects
- Ability to effectively navigate and deliver results in a large and complex environment.
- Forward thinking, analytical, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts and topics in lay terms to non-subject matter experts and build consensus and credibility among diverse stakeholders.
- Proven success in architecting enterprise solutions with an emphasis on business/strategic considerations.
- Able to work expeditiously as an individual contributor and as a team member.
- Ability to coordinate, prioritize and complete multiple tasks.
Enterprise Architect Nice-To-Have Skills
- Experience working within the BC Health Sector and/or similar province-wide health systems (preferably across multiple provinces and/or national experience)
