Description:

Enterprise Architect (Marketing) – National Salary up to £87,100. London Salary up to £120,600.
Aviva has an opening for an Enterprise Architect to join our UK team. Reporting directly to the Head of Architecture (Customer & Marketing), you will define and lead on technology direction for our Marketing & Social Media strategy, while also looking across the Group in line with our customer centric “One Aviva” strategy.
Aviva operates a “smart working” policy meaning that we spend approximately half of our time working in an office this role is based in, London, Bristol, Norwich, or York.
A bit about the job:
Accountable for developing & maintaining technology strategy and roadmaps for Aviva’s existing & developing MarTech estate, working closely with senior representatives from our best-in-class business areas as well as taking a broad view across Aviva, you will work with a broad variety of research organisations and suppliers to understand technology trends and select the right foundations for Aviva.
The role will focus on the value that architecture can provide to our customers and the organisation, across technologies, processes, and capability changes, with specific alignment to marketing capabilities, in support of a change portfolio in both B2C and B2B domains. We believe that this is a real opportunity for someone to put their stamp on Aviva’s direction, while receiving robust support and investment from our senior leadership.
As a member of our Global Architecture team, the role benefits from being part of an Aviva-wide architecture and technology community with regular events, external connections, and a focus on supporting and enabling personal development.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Strong Enterprise Architecture skills, with demonstrable coverage of marketing technology, strategy, roadmaps. Deep knowledge of Adobe technologies an advantage.
  • Recent and deep experience in relevant technologies, including product vendor roadmaps.
  • Track record of operating at senior levels within a large, regulated business, ideally within Financial Services.
  • Financial competence to support development of investment propositions and to inform key design decisions.
  • Ability to think long-term strategically and operationally - anticipating future trends/needs.
