POSITION SUMMARY:

The Enterprise Architect is responsible for defining the capability, architecture strategy and roadmap in alignment with Parkland’s strategic plan and objectives. The EA is responsible to lead and facilitate agreement and critical decision making across multiple stakeholders, enable business or technology capability streamlining and harmonization, lead target solution selection and roadmap, minimize technology debt and application proliferations to support each capability, and provide superb artifacts and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems (CIS), or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an enterprise architect, managing architecture requirements and driving architecture design.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience working as application, technology or digital architect, application architect or similar.
  • Proven experience developing strategic and technology roadmaps and providing C-level assessments and recommendations.
  • Proven experience developing business and technology capability models, functional decompositions, and value stream.
  • Proven experience understanding business needs and requirements quickly and efficiently, balancing architecture design and financial requirements.
  • Strong understanding of AWS or Azure cloud platform, digital platforms, software development, security, authentication, IT/OT, ITSM, access management, IAM.
  • Exceptional written and oral skills, including development of presentations and architecture standards, architecture design documents, diagrams, and graphic representations.
  • Enthusiastic learner with demonstrated ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a high volume, fast paced and evolving work environment.
  • Nice to have SAP S4 HANA experience.
  • Understanding of architecture principles including scalability, availability, performance, security, IAM and more.
  • Ability to advocate for innovation and digital transformation technologies such as AI, ML, IoT and more.
  • Experience using Lucid, Miro, Visio, and other design software.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and lead cross-functional stakeholders and facilitate global capability ownership to develop strategies.
  • Develop Capability Models for business and technology enablers with their respective multi-year roadmap.
  • Lead analysis and assessment of future-state capabilities and architecture design.
  • Lead strategic application and technology assessment including gap analysis, SWOT analysis, conceptual and logical design, identification of critical applications and technologies, support RFI/ RFP process.
  • Lead analysis of capability level and its requirements, connecting strategy to execution and enabling digital transformation.
  • Facilitate alignment between business and IT and Digital stakeholders. Advocate for global solutions.
  • Identify important technology trends, assess impact and disruption within Parkland.
  • Develop superb artifacts and deliverables to efficiently provide visual and written storytelling and enable solution adoption and understanding.
  • Define Governance and technology standards and enable proper adoption of new technologies, facilitate common application and technology toolkit between IT and Digital.
  • Advocate for well architecture best practices and facilitate architecture design, facilitate architecture review board, and peer reviews.
  • Coach and support solution architects and technology architects.
  • Support and maintain architecture information within LeanIX including capability models and application TIME categorization, provide assessments and Adhoc
  • Support portfolio management, vendor management, end user computing, and other departments to ensure consistent processes and alignment.
  • Drive evolution of EA services, operating model, SLAs, and process continuous improvement. Strive to create architecture as a service and objectives.
  • Coordinate external consulting services, technology workshops, presentations, and other communication initiatives.
  • Communicate the value of enterprise architecture, architecture principles, and its portfolio of services, maintain architecture templates, architecture library, new application requests, and project Intake reviews.
  • Maintain organization’s effective and promote continuous improvement by contributing to solution delivery and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies. Actively collaborate and support PMO, project managers, technology leaders, business stakeholders, SCM and operations.
  • Partner with Security and Infrastructure to maintain a robust program and project review and implementation.
