JOB DESCRIPTION

Join a leading Qld Government department as they embark on an enhancement to their overall Cyber Security Architecture and capability organisation wide.
In this role, you will focus on the development and continuous improvement of cyber security architecture and control framework. The role will work closely with other cyber security professionals, as well as both technical and non-technical business stakeholders, to increase understanding of, and progress, continuous improvement in, enterprise security architecture. Effective delivery of enterprise security architecture contributes to ensuring that cyber security risks are properly managed.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop the roadmap for strategic security architecture improvements that achieve business benefit.
  • Lead the strategic planning of improvements to architecture and DevSecOps processes.
  • Provide advice to the team of security professionals on topics relating to enterprise security architecture and how to reduce solution delivery costs and lower cyber security risk.
  • Deliver using agile methodologies and lean methods, in addition to traditional models.
  • Assist with cyber security risk assessment, and cyber security incident response, when requested.
  • Effectively contribute cyber security technical expertise to ISB multi-disciplinary, cross-functional project teams and maintain effective working relationships with the team participants, as required.
  • Efficiently produce concise, targeted, and useful, cyber security architecture artefacts and other technical documentation, as directed and on schedule.

Skills required:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role where you have been responsible for the security architecture and all artefacts at an enterprise level
  • Knowledge of modern cyber security risk management and control frameworks, strategic enterprise security architecture, DevSecOps processes.
  • Understanding of the principles of secure data communication and storage, including encryption technology, together with a practical understanding of secure solution development.
