Description:

Join our Data division, working with our Chief Data Officer to help accelerate and mature Macquarie’s foundational and defensive data capabilities. The Data division ensures Macquarie’s data strategy, management and governance enables effective and valuable use of data for decision making and business outcomes. This is achieved through support of data frameworks, standards and tooling, to manage data risk and ensure data is fit for purpose.

What role you will play?
As a member of our central Data Architecture team you will drive strategic data architecture across the Macquarie data landscape. You will work closely with and be a trusted adviser to our Chief Data Officer, our business and technology leaders and to our strong network of data architects and engineers. You will be instrumental in building and evolving our data architecture framework and capabilities and take on a wide range of responsibilities including data governance and risk management, developing standards and principles and assisting building data architecture capabilities across our different business groups.

What you offer

  • Innovative with a passionate for what enterprise data architecture could be; not constrained by what it has been
  • Experience enabling and shaping data architecture in a complex organisation to adopt modern data architecture paradigms like Data Product, Data Mesh, Data Fabric and Domain Driven Design
  • Experience in developing, embedding, and implementing data governance and architecture frameworks and processes
  • Experience in data/information modelling at enterprise level, modelling governance and good exposure to data modelling tools and best practices
  • Adept in engaging, collaborating, and influencing people across different business units and at all levels of financial service organisations
  • A strong team player who demonstrates flexibility and has a pro-active approach
  • Experience at enterprise /group level operating in a federated environment is advantageous.
