QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Matric
• Customs Affairs Course or equivalent
• Forwarding Course or equivalent
• Tertiary Education an advantage
• Proficiency on the Cargowise (CW) system
• At least 5 years experience in Entry framing at a senior level
• Thorough and understanding of incoterms

JOB PURPOSE

The Durban based individual to ensure entries are accurate and in line with SARS legislation as well as administering a high level of quality control on all Bills of Entry and manage the risk of non-compliance, underpayment and overpayment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prioritise and distribute documents to be framed; to meet deadlines
• Ensure consistent high level of compliance with BCS
• Recording errors made on Clearances
• Assist Entry Clerks with Tariff, Values and other customs requirements

• Provide regular feedback on quality assurance

• Quality Control all entries tasked - tick all relevant QC points

• Stamp Quality Control on Bill of Entry

• Reject on Workflow & Tracking if necessary
• Update Milestones
