Tetra Tech INE offers the full complement of remediation, assessment, and compliance services, from initial investigation through remedial design and implementation. Our services encompass environmental, industrial hygiene, hazardous building materials, health and safety, wastewater, air emissions, waste disposal practices, and compliance.
We currently seek an entry level Environmental Engineer/Scientist/Geologist to perform assessments and response actions under the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP), hazardous building material investigations, indoor air quality studies, and ASTM Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments.
This position is located in our Marlborough, Massachusetts office with hybrid remote work options available.
Your Role:
- Environmental site assessments including property research and reconnaissance, field investigations and observations, sample collection, boring log preparation, elevation surveying, data evaluation, tabulation and calculations, and report preparation
- Drinking water sample collection from private wells for PFAS analysis and other emerging contaminants
- Hazardous building material investigations including asbestos, lead, PCBs, and universal waste
- Industrial hygiene field work including indoor air quality, mold and moisture, and related investigations
- Ability to multi-task and work on numerous projects of various sizes and scope
- Oversight of subcontractors used for excavation, drilling, monitoring well installation, asbestos abatement, demolition, and remediation activities
- Groundwater sampling, soil sampling, soil gas sampling, and surveying
- Compilation and organization of data, schedule management, report preparation, and document control
- Comfortable working independently and outdoors at various times of the year
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Confident, independent thinking paired with attention to protocol
- HAZWOPER certification is preferred but not required
- Training for specific tasks will be provided
- Occasional overnight travel to work sites is required
- A satisfactory driving record in accordance with Tetra Tech’s MVR policy is required
