QUALIFICATIONS WE REQUIRE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering discipline
  • Ability to travel for business up to 25% time
  • Ability to receive DOE Top Secret ‘Q’ Security Clearance
  • Demonstrated experience with a software design tool(s)
  • Ability to work on-site at the Livermore, CA facility up to 100% of time

QUALIFICATIONS WE DESIRE

  • Demonstrated breadth of knowledge in Mechanical Engineering and other engineering disciplines through school projects or work experience
  • Demonstrated experience working with and across a broad range of stakeholders, especially in a government setting
  • Active DOE Top Secret ‘Q’ Security Clearance or other transferable U.S. Government Clearance
  • Understanding of Nuclear Weapons and Joint Test Assembly design principles

NNSA REQUIREMENTS FOR MEDPEDS

If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
