Responsibilities:

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant plays a crucial role in facilitating the early stages of our clients’ cases. This position primarily involves supporting case managers in managing medical records and bills, obtaining essential case-related information, and maintaining communication with clients.

Medical Record and Bill Management:

  • Collect, organize, and maintain medical records and bills pertinent to clients’ cases.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of medical documentation and billing information.
  • Maintain organized digital files for each case.

Information Gathering:

  • Assist case managers in obtaining necessary information relevant to each case, including police reports, witness statements, and other documents.
  • Conduct research to gather additional data as required to support the pre-litigation process.

Client Communication:

  • Serve as an additional point of contact for clients, providing bi-weekly check-in’s.
  • Communicate effectively and empathetically with clients, addressing their concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and consultations with clients as needed.

Case Coordination:

  • Collaborate with attorneys and other legal staff to ensure smooth case progression.
  • Maintain detailed logs and records of all communications and activities related to each case.
  • Assist in preparing documents, correspondence, and other materials necessary for case management.

Compliance and Confidentiality:

  • Adhere to all legal and ethical standards regarding client confidentiality and information handling.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and firm policies throughout the pre-litigation process.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the pre-litigation workflow.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development activities to enhance job skills and knowledge.
