Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Entry Level Surplus Equipment Administrator to support our business in Sacramento, CA.
This candidate will be responsible for evaluating the condition and usability of surplus office equipment, tracking inventory of surplus equipment and generate monthly reports on the final disposition of surplus equipment. Attention to detail and ability to properly lift heavy items are key skills for this position.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 2+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office Tools
  • Must meet physical requirements of the job, including properly lifting up to 35 pounds and using power tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Experience with assembly, disassembly, and trouble-shooting standard office electronic equipment

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 4 years’ related work experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Receive inventory, process and disassemble surplus equipment
  • Determine if the surplus equipment is serviceable and can be recapitalized
  • Render unserviceable equipment inoperable through a variety of destruction methods
  • Dispose of surplus equipment in accordance with company policies, state and federal regulations, and environmental requirement and laws
  • Conduct all actives safely and within OSHA requirements. Use and maintain safety equipment.
  • Escort visitors through the building as needed
  • Aid mailroom personnel process shipments and mail through the facility
