Omega 365 Consulting is a leading supplier of highly skilled project personnel in the oil and gas, renewable energy, and infrastructure sectors. We offer a wide range of consultant assignments, featuring many of the most exciting projects in Norway and internationally.
ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION
- The position is located in the SSU (Safety, Security and Sustainability) competence center, within the Impact Management and Consenting (IMC) team.
- The CFO FCoE SSU CS IMC team consists of Impact Assessment and Sustainability experts located in Norway, Brazil and the UK which are supporting projects accross client.
- Due to capacity constraints in the team, we need two consultants to support the large portfolio of oil and gas projects in Norway (brownfield, tie-in, modifications and decommissioning projects).
- Writing tasks to finalize applications for fulfilled investigation duties
- Writing tasks to finalize Environmental Impact Assessments/Environmental Impact Assessment programs (few projects)
- Participating in meetings with relevant authorities (Mdir; ED; etc.)
- Project support for internal environmental deliveries, including environmental risk assessments; BAT evaluations; environmental budgeting; ALARP; etc.
- Participating in professional discussions with the project team on various topics, including environmental technology, and staying updated on any changes in governmental expectations, requirements, etc.
- Coordinating theme-specific studies for Environmental Impact Programs/Environmental Impact Assessments
- Summarizing consultation comments and proposing responses to be presented to ED
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Master’s degree in an Environmental or Social subject such as Chemistry, Biology, Natural Resources Management or Political Science.
- Minimum 10 years experience of environmental sustainability, impact and risk management in Norway.
- Comfortable working in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to handle complex issues and changing external context and requirements.
- Deep understanding of relevant national (Norwegian)/international legislation and standards/guidelines.
- Significant experience of working on and using a range of communication and engagement methods and channels.
- High ethical awareness and integrity.
- A positive, flexible team worker, with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
