Responsibilities:
We are currently looking for an Environmental Advisor to assist the successful delivery of environmental programs and site environmental activities through conducting field work, environmental monitoring, data management, environmental equipment maintenance and environmental projects.
In this role you will:
- Support site to complete all required environmental monitoring in accordance with Curragh’s legal obligations, industry standards, site procedures and regulatory deadlines.
- Manage the Curragh environmental database, ensuring accurate and timely entry of all monitoring results into Envirosys and the Environmental Drive.
- Ensure our environmental equipment is calibrated, maintained, and supporting infrastructure and laboratory are kept in order.
- Provide daily support for Waste Management on site, including major recycling activities.
- Proactively check and identify potential breaches of environmental compliance whilst in the field and complete environmental inspections when requested.
- Support the Environmental Specialists and Superintendent with planning, organising, and completing field work (including contractor management).
- Using MapInfo/ ArcGIS assist with the development, issuing and implementation of permits to disturb.
- Assist with EPBC Approvals Management and Offsets, Rehabilitation and Rehabilitation Monitoring, Weed and Pest Management
- Provide support during mine water release events and environmental incidents
- Complete assigned environmental projects designed toward professional development with the support and mentorship of the Environmental Specialists and Superintendent.
