YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • A degree in Environmental Science or similar field;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practice environmental outcomes in a mining or mineral processing operation;

  • A strong understanding of environmental management systems;
  • Valid ‘C’ class manual drivers licence (preferred), and
  • National Police Clearance obtained within the last two months.

Responsibilities:

Our Nova nickel operation is seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to join a small team that is passionate about Environment and Sustainability. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for completing environmental activity such as monitoring, data collection and reporting in accordance with our statutory obligations.

Within this role your key duties will include:

  • Undertaking site monitoring programs and data collection;
  • Preparing annual reports for submission to regulators;
  • Managing vegetation programs including progressive rehabilitation projects;
  • Coordinating projects to plan and prepare for mine closure;
  • Providing support and technical expertise to the site, contributing to proactive environmental performance; and
  • Maintenance of the site’s Environmental Management System and driving continuous improvement of environmental management to ensure IGO maintains industry best practice.
