Description:

Your tasks
As environmental compliance coordinator, you will support that environmental protection and material compliance is applied and further developed in the Group Sector Tires. You will be responsible to develop and document operational procedures including environmental protection and hazardous substance areas.

Duties will include:

  • Auditing operating plants for Environmental Performance (EMEA & APAC)
  • Screening and update the current legal requirements matrix for environmental protection and hazardous substances (EMEA & APAC)
  • Support the maintenance and development of the environmental standards for the operations
  • Support the evaluation of compliance process for waste suppliers (EMEA + APAC)
  • Support Continental Tires in selected tire associations regarding material-related questions (EMEA + APAC)
  • Establish and maintain worldwide harmonized requirements for handling and reporting hazardous substances in the locations
  • Support on placing products and chemicals in APAC markets (Registrations, specific SDS req., Reports)
  • Support of tC organization (environmental compliance) and processes in the APAC region

Your profile

  • Chemist / Chemical Engineer / Envinronmental Engineer or comparable science
  • Knowledge in Environmental and / or Chemical regulations or work experience 3+ years in relevant area
  • Optional: work experience in ESH department of a manufacturing site
  • Knowledge in project and stakeholder management
  • Experience in change management
  • Certification as internal / external auditor
  • Strong in intercultural communication
  • Willingness to travel (~30%)
  • Languages: English (mandatory), Chinese / Japanese / Korean (optional)
  • IT: Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
