Job Description
Segula Technologies is looking for an Environmental Diagnostics & Monitoring Technician to add to our Team!
Our ideal candidates is a technician with short work experience in the sampling of airborne micro pollutants with particular reference to air quality. And someone who also has experience in sampling gaseous emissions from electricity production plants and waste-to-energy Plants.
Activities air quality sampling - (Some of these tasks will be executed only after an adequate period of training):
- Installation, management and small maintenance of sampling equipment for particulates, volatile or semi-volatile substances with low, medium and high air flow devices;
- Installation and management of equipment for the collection of atmospheric depositions;
- Management of samples collected during monitoring activities for subsequent chemical analysis (not included)
- Installation, management and small maintenance of automatic analyzers of gaseous pollutants (NOx, SO2, etc.);
- Drafting test and technical reports;
- Preparation and management of documents relating to safety, subcontracting and bureaucratic practices in general;
- Coordination of field activities for the implementation of measurement campaigns;

- Installation of sampling probes, sampling, sample recovery for subsequent chemical analysis (not included)

- Coordination of field activities for the implementation of measurement campaigns;
Qualifications
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
- Availability for short-term trips domestically and abroad (daily or multi-day) for three/four weeks a month with possible commitment also on weekends. The workplaces are normally outdoor areas, urban and extra-urban, adjacent to thermoelectric production plants or waste-to-energy plants, but interventions are envisaged in indoor workplaces with normal environmental conditions. Work at heights is not foreseen unless contained within 2-3 m (mobile laboratory roof, equipped platforms), but with the necessary safety equipment. Outdoor work is subject to typical seasonal thermal gradients with exposure to atmospheric agents and the resulting physical effort.
- Good knowledge of the English and Italian language. Spanish is a plus.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Autocad
- Able to use and drive mobile laboratories and/or vans (at least B driving license)
- Good communicator and team player
- Skills in chemistry, physics, environmental subjects, electronic measurement instruments (data acquisition systems, measurement transducers, etc.)
- Available for work in confined places and/or work at heights.
NON-MANDATORY QUALIFYING REQUESTS:
- 25 – 35 years
- Degree in Chemical, Physics or Environmental subjects
- Experience of at least 2/3 years (or more) in carrying out pollutant concentration measurement campaigns on thermoelectric production plants or incinerators
- Experience of at least 1-3 years (or more) in carrying out measurement campaigns of environmental micro pollutants and in work environments;
- Experience as a responsible team leader
