We offer bespoke managed service solutions that give clients the option of having our expert team on-site at their own facility or outsourcing those services to us here at CLS.
The Food Safety Sampling Technician role is to take samples on behalf of the microbiological department here at CLS and take samples on behalf of the chemistry department from time to time. The sampling technician will report to the Logistics Manager/Co-ordinator.
Environmental Sampling involves work with a range of government agencies, local authorities, environmental consultants and GWS in all aspects of environmental monitoring. We monitor in compliance with regulatory requirements at water and waste water treatment plants, beaches, EPA and trade effluent licence holders, private households, and perform drinking water, cryptosporidium and food serveys, as well as collecting from surface and ground water sources.

Execution of sampling and testing as per approved protocols and test methods.
Liaising with customers while onsite carrying our monitoring, sampling and collections.
Follow different client site requirements and prepare sampling requirements before going onsite to clients.
Ensure sampling equipment is maintain in a good and clean condition and ready to use onsite.
Ensuring sampling equipment is within calibration.
Ensure proper upkeep and presentation of company vehicles.
Compliance with ISO 17025, GMP, INAB requirements and CLS internal quality and technical procedures.
Undertaking such other duties may be assigned from time to time.
Qualification & Requirements
Third level qualification in microbiology/environmental is desirable but not essential.
HACCP Training Course is desirable but not essential.
Self-motivated whilst also being an effective team player.
Effective communicator, both verbal and written.
A rigorous attention to details is essential and showing concern for quality and clarity of work.
Capable of building strong relationships within a commercial operation and have an appreciation of business imperatives.
A professional, pro-active approach with influencing skills as well as an ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Good time management skills.
Approachable and friendly workplace manner.
An appreciation of and the ability to follow procedures accurately.
Good level of fitness.
Hardworking, practical and meticulous.
Clean, Full Driving licence.
