Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Environmental Remediation Project Manager for our Houston, Texas office.
This full-time position within our Environmental group will lead a team on a variety of oil and gas investigation/remediation projects with oversight from senior managers and technical experts. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate TX investigation/remediation project experience and require a strong focus on health and safety, be detailed orientated, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, and will be capable of working collaboratively in a high-performance team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Geology, or closely related field
  • 2 years of Project Management experience and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
  • This position may be subject to a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record Screening.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 years of experience in environmental consulting
  • 4 years of project management experience
  • MS in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related field
  • Experience working for clients in the oil and gas midstream market sector
  • Experience working with TX environmental regulatory agencies
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training
  • PG or PE license
    Additional Information

Responsibilities:

  • Health and safety stewardship, including local field visits
  • Managing scope, schedule, and budget for site investigation/remediation projects
  • Building strong client relationships
  • Client and regulatory correspondence
  • Technical report writing and review
  • Analyzing and applying solutions to atypical and/or semi-complex and challenging issues within area of expertise
  • Preparing cost estimates and proposals
  • Working effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders
  • Coordinating work schedules with AECOM staff and subcontractors
  • Responsible for quality control of tasks
  • Mentor junior and mid-level project staff
  • Will require some regional travel for field visits
    This position requires both office and field work; the successful candidate should expect up to 20% commitment overseeing fieldwork and mentoring junior staff. Remote work is an option if applicable to project responsibilities.
