Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of technical expertise within the downstream oil and gas sector, a professional designation, and the ability to sign and stamp reports. Additionally, strong knowledge of the BC Contaminated Sites Regulation (BC CSR) and ministry processes is required.
The Technical Advisor is responsible for providing expertise in environmental science, engineering, and regulations to assess and solution environmental issues for clients. Operating in a diverse and competitive environment, this position will take a client-centered approach to foster relationships, conduct risk assessments, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with others to maintain a high delivery service for continued growth and success. This position will take a proactive approach to work by identifying and improving processes and trends, prioritizing health & safety. The Technical Advisor will always perform work and ensure adherence to FLINT’s core values and exemplary ethical standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise on sites in collaboration with Sr. Technical Advisors.
  • Provide Technical Expertise of environmental science, engineering principles, and regulatory requirements to assess environmental issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs, providing strategic recommendations, and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Conduct comprehensive environmental risk assessments, including site investigations, data analysis, and interpretation, to identify potential hazards and mitigation strategies.
  • Stay current with relevant environmental regulations and guidelines, advising clients on compliance requirements and assisting in permitting processes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including scientists, engineers, and regulatory specialists, to develop integrated solutions that address complex environmental challenges.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, innovation, and the adoption of emerging technologies to enhance the quality and efficiency of our environmental consulting services.
  • Administrative duties, including claims, invoices, and all other paperwork, are done within timelines.
  • Other projects and assignments as required.
