This is an exciting opportunity to step into this this senior clinical role and lead clinical services and as the Acting Director of Nursing: Acute for a fixed-term period, to commence ASAP until 11th August 2024. This is a full time role. With the current Director of Nursing: Acute Services away on leave – MDHS is looking to second an experienced Director of Nursing for a 3-month period to oversee and manage Acute Services across the Maryborough Campus. On top of day-to-day operations, the Director of Nursing: Acute Services will also play a key role in assisting the Executive with the construction and fit out of our new $115 million hospital. Responsibilities:
- Based at the Maryborough Campus
- Oversee a workforce of approximately 140 staff.
- 7 Direct reports – Nurse Unit Manager x 4 (Acute Care, Urgent Care, Dialysis & Oncology, Perioperative Services), Midwifery Unit Manager, Pharmacist, After Hours Coordinators.
