Description:
We are on the lookout for a Project Officer to join our team in Melbourne!
Pivotal to this position’s success is the ability to combine high levels of business acumen, multi-tasking, relationship management and problem solving to ensure works are completed to required design, budget, agreed program and safely.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Strong demonstrated experience in the delivery of predominately building services & asset related projects or programs.
- Previous experience in a similar role delivering minor works projects or Capex programs.
- Ability to form strong partnerships with service excellence and a solutions-focus.
- Experience in the management of WHS for construction sites (refurbishments/fit-outs/new construction/critical environments).
- Proven capability of working within an environment using QA, WHS and environmental systems.
- Able to respond quickly to change and adopt a flexible/ innovative approach to problems and opportunities.Proficient in applications including Word, Excel, and MS Project.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Holds a current General Induction for the Construction Industry card,
- Diploma/Graduate Diploma of Project Management; or
- Building/Construction Management, Project Management or Engineering experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all project delivery stages including scope development, design, procurement, site attendance, handover and defects.
- Ensure all works and services are completed in accordance with project timeframes, budget, and quality imperatives.
- Ensure customer advocacy through exceptional service.
- Manage employees and subcontractors through effective leadership and communication.
- Assess risks and establish contingency plans.Ensure WHSE policies and procedures are met and maintained by all stakeholders
