POSITION SUMMARY:

Diagnose equipment failures, finds root cause, and communicates and implements actions taken to the rest of the team
Collaborates with engineering or other cross functional groups to resolve maintenance issues, improve equipment reliability, review procedures, and minimize equipment downtime
Support of Production Equipment to improve throughput and reduce downtime including procurement, installation, upgrades, design modifications, troubleshooting failures, reducing operating costs
Day to day coverage of production line equipment: respond to alarms, breakdowns, and Production requests quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime
Investigates and implements countermeasures to prevent the repetitive breakdown of equipment’s
Lead the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance planning of manufacturing equipment
Provide technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process
Engineering organizations
Plans for future development in-line with strategic business objectives
Develops, maintains, and enforces maintenance-related standards and procedures

EDUCATION:

BS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering preferred

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 5-years’ work experience with automated equipment.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

Electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience in the use of hand, power, and machine shop tools
Experience in coordination and oversight of contractors and vendors
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
Mechanical and machine design experience a plus
Experience in PLC programming/ladder logic a plus
Demonstrate open, clear, concise and professional communication
Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
Must be knowledgeable of pertinent OSHA rules and regulations
Robotic, mechanical, and electrical trouble shooting skills required
This position requires stooping and lifting, substantial walking and manual dexterity
