Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you as an Equipment Maintenance Engineer will maintain, repair, and calibrate equipment relating to a manufacturing process.
About the job:
- Maintain and repair all equipment required for production
- Troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime
- Work within the 8 elements of TPM
- Perform calibrations and PM of the equipment
- Perform equipment assembly and adjustment work according to the qualification
- Commit to continued improvement & the effectiveness of the maintenance team
- Communicate effectively at all levels and update regularly the progress of open issues, also build relationships with all departments
- Operate fully within the guidelines for Health & Safety and emergency procedures, particularly those identified in the Occupational Health & Safety Management System
About you:
- Time served an apprenticeship in an Electrical Engineering discipline or HNC in Electrical Engineering
- Be familiar with the principles of fault-finding on equipment
- Ability to read and understand circuit schematic drawings
- Rudimental knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Good general understanding of mechanical engineering
- Knowledge of Risk Assessments, PURA, and safe working practices
- Self-motivated, with a flexible attitude towards the role and equipment to meet continually changing demands.
- A positive team attitude, with the added ability to work individually to get the work done.
- Ability to deal with changing priorities and use own initiative
- Desire to learn and understand the equipment and strive for permanent effective repairs
- Good computer skills
