We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Equipment Purchasing Coordinator to join our Design, Development & Construction team in Langley, BC.
Reporting to the Manager, Equipment Purchasing, you will oversee the procurement of all necessary equipment for our retail stores, warehouses, and other company locations, ensuring timely delivery, alignment with technical specifications and adherence to approved budgets.
You will be responsible for:
- Generating purchase orders for both Capital and Expense equipment.
- Ensuring accurate account coding in purchase orders for proper financial tracking and reporting.
- Assessing, negotiating, and securing quotes from suppliers for cost control.
- Overseeing and managing project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial parameters.
- Producing reports to ensure purchase order precision and budget compliance.
- Coordinating equipment delivery with suppliers and project managers.
- Processing invoice payments upon verification and approval.
You have:
- 1-2 years of experience in an administrative capacity, preferably in purchase orders, invoicing, procurement or data entry.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Teams, and Excel).
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel (filtering, sorting and basic formulas).
- Experience with PeopleSoft (Oracle), Adobe Acrobat, purchase orders and invoicing.
- Experience in retail grocery or food and beverage equipment procurement is an asset.
