Department
To further strengthen and expand our successful investment teams at Robeco Switzerland Ltd, we are looking for an Equity Analyst in Zurich working mainly for the Smart Energy investment strategy. The Smart Energy strategy invests along the whole value chain of electrification and decarbonization of the energy sector with a strong focus on technology, industrial and utility sectors.
The investment teams in Zurich manage various thematic investment funds, among others related to mobility, materials, water, circular economy and biodiversity. The thematic teams at Robeco, based in Switzerland and Netherlands are experienced and leading entities in thematic investing. The team consists of 25 investment professionals with ambitious plans to expand the business over the coming years.
Position & Requirements
Your main responsibilities
- Analyse financial statements and research reports, meet with senior management of listed companies and build/maintain financial models to assess the fair value of individual stocks
- Sector/theme research and analysis. Study of external material to understand market trends to form your own opinion
- Constant review and search of interesting investment opportunities
- Discuss challenges and opportunities with our inhouse sustainability experts
- Present investment ideas to the portfolio management team
- Support client portfolio managers (product specialists) and sales channels to market the investment strategy
Requirements
- Tertiary degree in finance or alternatively, tertiary degree in science with additional diplomas in finance
- CFA or investment degree equivalent, a deep understanding of terminology in the asset management industry
- At least 3-5 years of work experience within an international financial institution as fundamental equity analyst
- Investment experience in one of the following industries: renewables, utilities, industrial or technology
- Experience in ESG-related investment analysis is a plus
Business fluency in English (written and spoken), other languages are an asset
