SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Strong customer service skills. Focused on client’s objectives and attentive to the needs of users.
  • Working knowledge with ERP systems and support, EPS (EFI) iQuote and Monarch strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of VMware, Windows Servers, NAS Administration (preferably Synology), CRM (preferably Odoo), and end user support/helpdesk.
  • Strong understanding of technical troubleshooting methodology.
  • Previous experience with Backups, preferably, Veeam, Synology Hyper Backup, Backblaze B2.
  • Ability to facilitate problem-solving among administrative groups with varying needs and priorities, and to communicate well with administrative users, technical staff, and senior management.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills across organizational boundaries
  • Stays current with technological developments in systems administration technology and recommends ways for organization to take advantage of new technology.
  • Strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure systems and applications are effective, reliable and meet the service delivery needs of all programs.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of the disaster recovery, business continuity and resiliency plans.
  • Identify and coordinate installation, upgrades and ongoing support of software packages across organization.
  • Provide effective and responsive service when requested.
  • Plan, implement and review upgrades of any existing applications, ensuring minimal disruption to service delivery.
  • Trains technical staff in how to use new software and hardware developed and/or acquired.
  • Maintains security and protects systems from unauthorized use, acts of nature and user abuse.
  • Upon approval for the IT Manager, coordinates and executes changes that increase performance and availability.
  • Ensures high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical ERP computer resources.
  • Provides up-to-date system documentation and inventories.
  • Coordinates related vendor support contracts for hardware or software.
  • When necessary, works in concert with software and hardware vendors for problem resolution.
  • Ensures integrity and availability of data through continuous assessment of data backup operations.
  • Provides advance notification of all planned system and network outages within a strong change control environment and set realistic expectations on availability.
  • Coordinates and communicate closely with management and help desk during all unplanned outages.
  • Works with other members of the technology team as necessary to resolve issues or assist with projects as assigned.
