Description:
Technical Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or higher required (experience in ESG-related fields welcomed but not mandatory);
- 0-2 years’ experience and a commitment to developing a career in the ESG sector;
- Strong interest in ESG/sustainability, encompassing policy, compliance, and practical implementation;
- Understanding of sustainable finance and ESG standards/frameworks such as UNSDGs, ISSB, or UNPRI;
- Familiarity with methods for measuring and reporting environmental or social impacts;
- Knowledge of decarbonization frameworks, target-setting methods, and emissions quantification;
- Proficiency in data analysis, trend identification, and summarizing findings;
- Effective in verbal and written communication with external stakeholders;
- Ability to think critically, balancing financial and non-financial considerations in recommendations;
- Adaptable, pragmatic and consultative approach highly regarded; AND
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Responsibilities:
- Executing the firm’s Responsible Investment (RI) Policy and offering assistance and training to the wider investment team as needed.
- Conducting ESG research and maintaining an anticipatory stance on emerging global ESG trends, standards, and regulations.
- Contributing to the incorporation of ESG throughout the investment process, starting from ESG due diligence for potential investments to developing ESG materials for sales purposes.
- Assisting the ESG Team in engaging with portfolio company management teams to comprehend their ESG obstacles, offering guidance and implementing ESG strategies and initiatives.
- Partnering with external entities, including service providers, to oversee and execute designated ESG projects.
- Developing expertise in specific ESG subject areas to support priority ESG initiatives as needed.
