Full Job Description
Our client is a leading civil contractor dedicated to delivering high-quality projects across various sectors. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Estimating Manager to join their team and play a key role in shaping their success.
As the Estimating Manager you will be responsible for managing the estimating, tendering, and pricing functions with a focus on producing competitive and successful offers. Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead a team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of tendering processes and contribute to the overall success of our projects.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar.
• Proven experience in bid management and tendering within the construction industry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
• Proficiency in project management and estimating software.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a database of bids won and bids lost.
• Keep records of all documents related to each offer, including tender documentation, acceptance/decline notices, and formal contracts.
• Develop and maintain a preferred supplier list.
• Contribute actively to the company culture of producing winning tenders.
• Deliver into the company Quality Management System and update processes as required.
• Produce quantitative monthly/YTD reports on tendering results.
• Contribute to regular review sessions on internal charge rates for labor and plant.
