Estimator (Commercial Construction)

Rare opportunity to join a leading commercial contractor in the new business team. Join a supportive team and be mentored by an experienced and respected Senior Estimator. You will enjoy a diverse range of work from negotiated ECI projects through to hard tenders on projects in the $1m to $50m range, this will include both local and regional projects.
Working closely with the wider Pre-Con team to develop construction programmes and plans, you will lead complex cost plans for design build work and enjoy ownership of pricing hard tenders.
Being regionally based you will be adept at building close alliances with subcontractors and consultants and confidently negotiate fair prices and terms and keep up to-date with market conditions and news. You will help manage risk and identify options for value engineering, and support procurement and the transition of secured work to the Project Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager.

To be considered we are looking for:

• Estimating or quantity surveying experience in New Zealand
• Related Qualifications
• Experience with commercial projects and NZ3910
• Highly organised and self-motivated
• Proven team player with excellent communication skills
• Good problem solving skills and analytical by nature
